Losing a pet after so many years isn’t just losing an animal… it’s losing a family member, a loyal friend, and a piece of your heart.
This breaks my heart. My faithful companion rests 6 feet underground in a corner of my land. He was 14 years, when it happened. I look at his headstone every day.
As soon as you take a pet into your life you should understand it’s highly likely you will outlive it. It’s still sad. But it’s the reality. I’m sure this person gave that a dog an amazing life, let’s celebrate that. Not the death.
