On February 26, 2026, Atlanta Police Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit officers conducted a traffic stop near 768 Michael Langford DR. SW for a stop sign violation.
The driver attempted to flee the stop but was quickly taken into custody. A female passenger was also taken into custody.
During the investigation, officers recovered 224 grams of marijuana, 8 bottles of promethazine, a loaded Glock firearm, and 87 oxycodone pills.
The suspects were identified as 28-year-old Tyquavius Lawrence and 24-year-old Summer Butler.
Tyquavius Lawrence was charged with:
- Stop Sign Violation
- Driving Without a Valid License
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of Marijuana
- Two counts Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Obstruction
Summer Butler was charged with:
- Possession of Marijuana
- Two counts Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Giving False Information to Law Enforcement Officer
