@oroboros Fatwa and holy war? You're joking? You do realize that "most" of Sunni and Shia Muslims are aligned with the US? Only IRGC and the hardline factions of Iran’s government were loyal to Khamenei and maybe small fractions of Hezbollah from Lebanon and Houthi from Yemen. They are mostly state-level and nothing like ISIS, who have extremist ideology. No, I don't see the consequences you're describing.

Add it up and then ask yourself the question in whose interests the United States has fought wars around the world. If you are lucid, you will understand that this has never been in the interest of the American people. Don't be so sure of your assumptions. When a Fatwa is pronounced by a Muslim spiritual leader, it concerns all Muslims throughout the world. In this case more precisely Shiites. The holy war against Israel has been in place since its founding in 1948.
