A couple of passengers who were in a ride-hailing taxi in the area near the Municipal Market, in downtown São Paulo , were victims of an attempted robbery in broad daylight on Thursday (26) when an assailant broke the window to take their cell phone. The attack was caught on a camera inside the vehicle.
The car was traveling along the North-South corridor, in the direction of the Airport/City Center, when it was stopped at the corner of Avenida Santos Dumont and Avenida do Estado.
At around 12:45 pm, the criminal, who was wearing a black cap and a black and gray shirt, approached from the back window where the man was sitting and smashed the glass in an attempt to steal his cell phone.
However, the passenger managed to grab the device and prevented the robbery from being completed. The robber fled against the flow of traffic on Avenida do Estado and took nothing.
The ride-hailing driver shared the incident on social media, and the video went viral. Ride-hailing drivers who pass through the area say that this stretch of Avenida do Estado frequently sees this type of crime, attributed to what they call the "window-breaking gang."

if i had the power.. i would force the ceo of every rideshare business to give at least 1 ride a month. the ride would be given in a city that was randomly chosen. if it was compton.. so be it. the ceo would have the right to wear a mask.. like during covid.. or even one of those really super genuine fake faces.. like that make you look like an old man.. or whatever.
but yeah.. once a month.. in a random city.
