Woman shot in leg after juvenile drops gun inside Memphis gas station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are wanted after a man dropped his handgun inside a Raleigh convenience store on Saturday and accidentally shot a customer in the leg, Memphis Police say.

On Feb. 21, around 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the shooting in the 4500 block of Stage Road.

MPD was told that the victim was standing at the counter when a male wearing a gray True Religion jacket walked behind her, armed with a handgun.

Officers said the male dropped the handgun, causing it to go off. One round went into the victim’s right leg.

According to MPD, both males ran out of the store and fled in a 2012-2016 White Chevrolet Cruze.

Police said the first suspect was wearing a white shirt, a gray True Religion jacket with black letters, and white Jordans, armed with a handgun.

They said the second suspect was wearing a black shirt with red letters, black jeans, and black shoes.
