The Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump’s far-reaching global tariffs in a 6-3 decision on Friday, handing him a stinging loss on an issue crucial to his economic agenda.

Furious about the defeat, the president lashed out at the Supreme Court for striking down much of his sweeping tariff infrastructure as an illegal use of emergency power. Trump said he was “absolutely ashamed” of justices who voted to strike down his tariffs and called the ruling “deeply disappointing.”

The president said on social media Friday night that he signed an executive order enabling him to bypass Congress and impose a 10% tax on imports from around the world. The new tariffs would come under a law that restricts them to 150 days.

A staggering level of incompetence in this government, led by that orange idiot who doesn't even know what percentages are. And the best part of all this chaos is that the trade deficit has barely decreased at all. Importers will be able to reclaim the duties they paid, but ordinary consumers won’t see a dime back—and will likely end up paying in other ways to make up for lost state revenue.

What a complete fucking loser. "uhh, the whole world won't just magically do what I want it to do" FFS, the United States citizens are now on the hook for the tens of billions illegally charged from other countries. Countless business have gone to the wall. Countless jobs lost. Almost every business affected, in some way. On top of it all, massive damages will eventually be paid. It's just a complete failure and loss at every corner, for the United States. Americans deserve and expect much, much better than this. This 'government' are fucking clueless clowns, the lot of them.,

@MarGarTar Provide the actual data for your claims. Where is that hyperinflation from tariffs? CPI went from 2.9% in 2024 down to 2.4% currently. Adjusted GDP jump to 4.3% and 8.3% for nominal GDP growth. Average adjusted GDP is 2.14% per year after 2008 financial crises. PMI spiked to 52.3. Recent "PRVATE" sector jobs added was 170k, that was 2.5 time above estimated. So STFU if you have no clue what you're talking about!!!
