Lawless Chicago: Couple in white sedan shot multiple times

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were shot while in a vehicle in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, located near 79th Street and South May Street.
The shooting occurred at 1:25 p.m. in the 7900 block of South May Street, just steps from St. Sabina Parish.
he female victim was shot multiple times throughout her body and taken to OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital in critical condition. The male victim was shot in the buttocks and arm and transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.

Following the shooting, the victims' vehicle crashed into a GMC van.

:A baby in the back seat of the car was not injured, according to reports.
The investigation is ongoing, and no suspect information was immediately available.

Mandatory 30 years prison sentence for anyone who commits armed robbery or armed assault! Also, lower the age limit for prosecution of offenders to 13 years old.
