@its_me_Joe You're right. That first shot is different compared to the following shots. There is a single shot then pause and then three consecutive shots. Law enforcement officers are trained to shoot multiple rounds in succession because first shot rarely stops the threat. Most likely the first shot was from the suspect then the three consecutive shots from the border patrol agent then followed by several other shots from border patrol agent.

@YOLO_ If you watch other videos with several seconds after the shooting clips, you can clearly hear other officers yelling out "where is the gun?". They shot him not knowing the gunman was disarmed by another officers. He should have yelled out that he has the gun, but all this happened in split second. From the officers preceptive, they heard "GUN" and you can clearly see the suspect get up and reach for the gun. Looks like the suspect grabbed the second magazine before hitting the face plant.
