Looks to be in good shape, nothing wrong with that car. Of course she is excited: she got it for free. Many people never get a free car.

My first car was a 1978 Plymouth Volare my dad gave me at 16. The car sucked but man, we had so many good times and that straight six lasted 238,000 miles. The rest of the car fell apart but that engine was bullet-proof.

Too bad there won't be any go fund me's for a kid who is grateful and happy to get an older car and not throwing a fit because it's not a new Mercedes.

Finally a video that lifts morale. This proves that there are still parents who can be happy, that their children have not abandoned traditional family values.

@Serbheart Agreed 100%.
I'd rather pay the high end to have a low milage 10 or 15 year old car than anything new.!

It's called being grateful. A lot of people watching this don't know wtf gratitude is, like forreal

a car is a car, if you don't have one almost anything is acceptable, unless you are a spoiled puke of a person

Notice the lack of trademark hair dye, ridiculous glasses, visible preschool tattoos, etc.

@OwMyBawls A young lady raised the right way.

Everybody gets excited with their first new car, no matter what the brand or condition it's in. Now give her two months, then she'll beg you to trade it in for a 2025 Hellcat.

@The Car (1977) lol Daytona 1200hp

I remember my first car back in the 70's. My mom got a Ranger P/U truck and I got her old 4 door Galaxie 500. I was VERY happy to have it.
Took VERY good care of that car too!
Some of my friends got brand new cars when they turned 16. When they graduated HS, the car looked like a POS or was already totaled!

2 +1 tommix1 2 months ago

@kma8675309 Had a 72 Galaxie 500 with a 351 and a 69 Impala wagon 396 version with rally flags . Back when cars looked different from one another. Later had a 73 Monte Carlo, Best body style of the series.
