The rich and powerful tend to find a strong state annoying and would prefer to do whatever they want. The average citizen wants a strong, capable state. Fighting terms like "wokeism" are merely a means to incite the gullible, to upset them about problems they don't even have, and to exploit them for one's own purposes.
