If he's in a hospital bed or 6 feet under, then he can't be robbing your house or stealing your car... Surely that's a good thing.

A dramatic video captured the moment a pedestrian was struck and critically injured by a Montebello Police Department patrol vehicle over the weekend.
Officers had been dispatched to a report of a possible DUI driver in the area of Montebello Boulevard and Victoria Avenue around 5:35 p.m., according to the Montebello Police Department.
“One of the responding units was traveling eastbound on Beverly Boulevard at Howard Avenue when they struck a pedestrian,” police said in a news release.
Video from the scene shows the man crossing the street in a crosswalk when he was hit by the patrol vehicle. The pedestrian appeared to still be in the crosswalk after the light had changed, as other cars were also moving through the intersection.
The patrol vehicle did not appear to have its lights and sirens on at the time of the crash.
The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
The California Highway Patrol is expected to handle the investigation.

Should have started running sooner, like when the red hand started flashing. You know, like the rest of us do.

Dark flannel is hard to see at night but the officer failed to yield if that was a legit crosswalk.

Now, that's more like it.
By the way, apparently the YNC will be back up in no more than a week.

Did the cop anticipated that the light would change green and didn't really slow down when it was still red? He seemed to be traveling way too fast from stop.
