If evolution actually happened there would be millions upon millions of examples of it in the fossil record. They aren't there.
The fossils of in-between creatures don't exist. That's one of the glaring reasons it's still called the THEORY of evolution.

But anyway, arctos isnt't descended from spalaeus - they existed at the same time. Spekeaeus was also vegan - and their extinction was down to.... natural selection.
NATURAL SELECTION meant arctos continued on, since their diet meant they were able to adapt bettter.
