Caffey allegedly used his position to build trust with students, including spending hours with them outside of class.

Multiple students reported misconduct, including threats of self-harm to manipulate victims if they told anyone.

The school district was accused of ignoring rumors and failing to protect students. Multiple students filed suits against the Shelton School District for negligence and discrimination.

Authorities continue to seek information about additional abuse cases encouraging anyone to come forward. Some victims may take months to even years to come forward.

Caffey was convicted for r*** of a child and sentenced to 41 months in jail. (A slap on the wrist)

Caffey interesting enough was also married to someone he had met years earlier who he counseled at the school.
