Police have released body camera and surveillance video of a deadly officer-involved shooting that occurred at St. Louis Lambert International Airport in November 2025.

The shooting occurred on November 21, 2025, after reports of a man with a knife in Terminal 1 of the airport.

The St. Louis County Police released the video below on Friday, which discusses the circumstances before the shooting and shows body camera footage from the officers.

“Today, St. Louis County Police released video regarding the fatal shooting that occurred in St. Louis Lambert International Airport’s Terminal One on Friday, November 21, 2025. As this is an ongoing investigation, the airport is referring all questions regarding the shooting to the Public Information Office of the St. Louis County Police Department.

The entire airport community is saddened by the events of November 21st. The airport will continue to cooperate with the St. Louis County Police Department as they continue their investigation.”

The man killed in the shooting was identified as Darius Kennedy, 31. The police department said it believes he was unhoused, and his last known address was in the 2700 block of West Trewyn Avenue, Peoria, Illinois.
