NEW: Anthony Joshua hospitalized after a fatal car crash in Nigeria less than two weeks after he knocked out Jake Paul in Miami.

Two people are reportedly deceased.

According to ESPN, Joshua was in the back of a vehicle when a tire burst on the highway. The driver of the car lost control and slammed into a stationary car.

“We are trying to contact Anthony and in the meantime we don’t want to speculate on how he is but thankfully he appears OK from what I have seen in the images,” his promoter said.

“We are awaiting more information on what has happened and will update in due course.”

According to a witness, the person in the passenger seat and the person sitting next to Joshua are both deceased.

Joshua reportedly has minor injuries.
