Police said officers were called at about 3:40 p.m. on April 20 to the unit block of Lambourne Road for a “physical disturbance.” The department said it is believed the incident stems from a verbal altercation in school, and that the juveniles involved are known to each other. The juveniles range in age from 11- to 14-years-old, according to authorities. Five juveniles are facing second-degree assault charges after police recovered new evidence that helped identify them. Two juveniles under the age 13 will not charged, according to police. None of the juveniles are in custody as officers continue efforts to notify their parents. The incident drew attention after a social media video taken Monday around 3:30 p.m. outside the Towson Promenade appeared to show a group of juveniles surrounding one individual and beating them on a public sidewalk. A police spokesperson said the department was not able to verify the social media video. A second incident happened Tuesday involving some of the same students inside Dumbarton Middle School during a meeting with the School Resource Officer (SRO), police said. During the meeting, a student and their parent left the office and got involved in a physical fight with another student in a hallway. The parent was later trespassed from the school, authorities said. Police are working with Baltimore County Public Schools, which is conducting its own administrative investigation.

Woman sought after gas station employee shot during robbery in Columbia, Maryland

COLUMBIA, Md. - An investigation is underway after a shooting inside a Columbia gas station left an employee with serious injuries. The Maryland Attorney General's Office's Independent Investigations Division continues to investigate the police shooting on March 1 in which three county police officers opened fire and fatally shot Alex Lamorie, 25, outside his Columbia apartment. Lamorie had autism, though officials said it is unclear whether responding officers were aware of that during the encounter. According to police, Lamorie himself called 911 earlier that day to report that he believed he was the victim of an online extortion scheme. Police said officers encountered Lamorie outside his apartment and that he was holding a knife. "Alex reported that he believed he had been a victim of an extortion scam," Howard County Police Chief Gregory Der said at a news conference Thursday morning. "After exchanging personal information and photos online with someone who claimed to be a young woman, Alex received a threat from the individual stating that the private exchanges would be released unless money was paid."

Maryland is seriously debating putting tampons in the MEN'S bathrooms

Maryland is seriously debating putting tampons in the MEN'S bathrooms at Baltimore Ravens and Orioles stadiums. (WBAL) - Authorities in Cecil County, Maryland, are searching for a truck driver who flew by a stopped school bus and narrowly missed hitting two children. The frightening incident was caught on camera. Marks along a grass embankment and security video obtained from Duvall’s Lawn and Garden show just how close two girls, 7 and 11, came to being hit. A school bus stopped on Telegraph Road in Rising Sun, Maryland, to pick up the children. Cecil County sheriff’s deputies said the bus had its flashing lights on, warning drivers they needed to stop, but video shows a Toyota pickup truck pulling to the right and going around the bus. The pickup truck passed between the bus door and the children who were about to board, nearly hitting them. The mother of the 7-year-old was standing nearby, helplessly watching. “She was visibly upset and shaking,” said Brandon Stewart, the 7-year-old’s father. Shawn Kennedy, the 11-year-old’s father, said he watched the camera footage. “I mean, it’s just crazy. That’s all I can say,” he said. Cameras on the bus also captured images of the truck. “It’s very disturbing that somebody doesn’t have the common sense to wait five seconds so kids can get on the bus,” Stewart said. Cecil County sheriff’s deputies are trying to identify the driver. The sheriff’s office also issued a BOLO for the Toyota pickup. “This was a very dangerous incident. This person did this at high speed. We don’t know why the person was doing this, why the person chose to pass the school bus in that manner. Was the person in a hurry, committing a crime? That’s all the stuff we’re looking at,” Capt. Michael Holmes of the Cecil County sheriff’s office said. Kennedy said he talked to his daughter when she got home that day. “I said, ‘Are you OK?’ She said, ‘Yes, but dad, if I took one or two more steps, that truck would have hit me.’ That’s what hit me the worst,” he said. The two fathers said that while in school, counselors assisted the girls and allowed them to talk about the scary incident.

Seven "teens" stab a man in the arm inside a bathroom at Wheaton Mall in Maryland

On February 4, 2026, a male victim entered Wheaton Mall and went to a restroom. On Sunday, February 22, 2026, at approximately 12:39 a.m., Montgomery County Police were notified of a large group of vehicles linked to street takeover activity that began in Prince George’s County and moved toward the Silver Spring District central business district. Around midnight, MCPD officers monitored the group and were able to close most of the intersections they were heading toward in Silver Spring. The vehicles continued along East West Highway and gathered at the intersection of East West Highway and Connecticut Avenue. Drivers blocked traffic and performed donuts in the roadway. Several people got out of their cars and stood in the intersection, preventing officers from entering while the activity continued. During the incident, two marked Montgomery County Police cruisers were damaged. In one case, an officer was inside his vehicle when the rear window was broken and the windshield was smashed. No officers were injured. Maryland State Police responded to assist with clearing the area. Before the incident in Montgomery County, three handguns were recovered during traffic stops conducted by Prince George’s County Police and Maryland State Police.

Woman’s Tesla cameras capture an altercation with another Tesla owner over charging cable

Maryland

Illegal alien from Brazil brags he’s been here illegally for 24 years

Brazilian national who was detained by ICE in Maryland asks if he can buy a plane ticket to return home. "Go home now," he tells agents. Once on scene, officers observed several residents outside of the complex due to a fire alarm having been pulled. An officer entered the building and encountered an individual who was screaming and wielding a large knife. The officer announced himself as a Baltimore Police officer, at which time the individual ran into an apartment. After observing blood in the hallway, officers attempted to enter the apartment. Additional officers arrived on scene and attempted to de-escalate the situation by speaking with the individual through the door. Officers gave verbal commands for the individual to exit the apartment and drop the knife. The individual exited the apartment holding the knife in one hand and an electrical stun stick in the other. The individual failed to comply with officers’ commands. Multiple officers deployed their tasers in attempt to subdue the individual; however, the tasers were ineffective. One of the officers then discharged their service weapon, striking the individual. The individual continued to resist as officers were initially unable to secure the knife. Officers continued with verbal commands and de-escalation efforts, utilizing their training while maintaining space and distance. The individual eventually dropped the knife and electrical stun stick, allowing officers to take her into custody. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment of two gunshot wounds. The individual has been identified as 48-year-old Autumn Elizabeth Denny. She is currently facing assault and weapons charges. The involved BPD officer was Officer Kevin Wilson, a three-year veteran. Investigators from the Special Investigations Response Team (SIRT) are investigating the incident.
