A PIT maneuver during a wrong-way police chase in Iowa ended with two innocent people dead.

The white car obviously wasn't paying attention at all. When all the other cars got over systematically, the white car tried going around and met its fate accordingly. Probably texting or checking Facephuck or Instamoron. Wouldn't doubt it.

Decades ago I offered these loose cannons a folding car arrestor that folds out like a pocketknife from the front bumper of the cruiser. When deployed beneath the pursued vehicle it grabs the frame like a plumber's wrench, the harder you pull the higher it gets due to a camming action. They ignored it and now have an inferior design arrestor.
