It's been 4 weeks to the day since Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Black River, Jamaica. One month later, people should be getting their feet under them, right? Today we learned that the places we visited, the worst hit places outside of where the news vans go.... our places.... they have had no government water or food deliveries. The only food and water they get are from peope like you and me, who go down to Jamaica to help the people. This is desperate living. It's not really living, . It's SURVIVING. A month. No home, no bed, no shelter food or water, no clothes except what you can pull out of brackish water that contains rotting bodies of livestock and people.
