According to the woman, she originally stopped at CVS to print posters or pick up a phot order for a family murder mystery night when she went into the makeup aisle. After losing her entire makeup collection in an apartment fire, she had been slowly trying to rebuild. She says finding the perfect red lipstick felt like a small victory until she reached checkout. She claims a man identifying himself as the manager, named Hunter, approached her and asked, “So, you don’t think you have anything in your pocket?” He allegedly accused her of shoplifting based on surveillance footage but refused to show her the video when she requested proof.

The woman says the manager continued questioning and belittling her for two minutes in front of other customers. As she left, he made another remark about her license plate being visible so a report could be filed. “I’ve lost so much in 2026, and I refuse to let anyone attempt to take my dignity, too,” she wrote.
