Bandung, Indonesia: October 17, 2026: A mobile meatball vendor suffered burns to his face, head, neck and hands when the gas cylinder on his food cart exploded in a residential area of Ujungberung. The blast was captured on CCTV, showing flames erupting and scattering food and utensils across the road. Local residents rushed to help the vendor and offered to take him to hospital, but he reportedly refused medical transport and received initial assistance from residents. The explosion’s exact cause remained unconfirmed, although a gas leak was suspected. Residents also planned to collect donations to help the vendor recover his losses.
