How many nations have launched reconnaissance orbiters around the moon since then? These all have spysat level optics and no atmosphere to look through. USA would have been embarrassed a long time ago if we faked it.

I believe all landings were just past lunar dawn when the sun was lower and not so hot.

Funny how all of these comnenters that spout the moon landing was fake, yet they are writing and submitting all of their comments via one of the thousands of man made electronic sattellites orbiting the Earth.

Those sattellites only need a few ounces of fuel to stay in orbit for 50 years.

How is it that people in the 21st century are more uninformed about movement through space than 3rd graders of the 20th century......

16 +1 MiTleiD 3 weeks ago

How can a country survive when idiots are multiplying like this and can't even understand the simplest concepts of physics they should have learned as kids in school?

0 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 3 weeks ago

@MiTleiD Are you saying that the moon landings were real because they can be explained through physics? Or are you saying that physics prove the impossibility to land a man on the moon and safely bring him back to earth with the 1960's technology?

5 +1 MiTleiD 3 weeks ago

@PLUCK URANUS I am talking about the epidemic of idiots spreading online. About people who have absolutely no clue about a topic and who possess an arrogance and self-confidence built on stupidity, using their word salad to shit on real scientists and engineers. A few days ago, Margaret Hamilton, a true American hero of the Apollo program, died. Do you honestly believe that the people making these idiotic conspiracy videos are even remotely on the same level as Hamilton?

If someone is truly interested in the physics behind spaceflight and all the questions in that video, it's never been easier than it is today to get answers. The knowledge is accessible to everyone, and you even have access to AI that will patiently explain it to you. But conspiracy nutjobs have zero interest in knowledge. They just want to start drama and spit in people's faces rather than engage in true, constructive discussion.

1 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 3 weeks ago

@MiTleiD Not impressed with your answer. If I follow your logic, AI has the supreme answers. I just asked AI "Did Jesus perform miracles?" AI answered "Yes, according to the New Testament and mainstream historical consensus, Jesus of Nazareth was widely known during his lifetime as a miracle worker, healer, and exorcist." You might be an atheist, but when it comes to this topic, you've been duped. Keep believing in fairytales, it's very patriotic of you...

3 +1 MiTleiD 3 weeks ago

@PLUCK URANUS I never told you to ask AI for answers and blindly trust it. My point was that the knowledge is out there, it's accessible, and with AI, you actually have something that is able to explain it to you. So, if you really want the answers to the questions in that video, it's never been easier to get them.

But you don't want the answers. You never bothered to learn enough math to read and make sense of physics or rocket science books, and you don't even get the word salad people spill in those conspiracy videos. Because you're just not capable of telling word salad and real science apart.

0 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 3 weeks ago

@MiTleiD True, the "knowledge" is out there. I am very familiar with both point of views. Rather than believing in everything I see or read (the "knowledge";), I use logic and facts, both of which lead me to believe that NASA faked the moon landings. Luckily, I haven't been brainwashed by religion or other hoaxes. But if you ask Amin6666, reptilians are real. There is plenty of knowledge out there...

0 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 3 weeks ago

@MiTleiD By the way, as an Atheist, I trust in observable science. The Van Allen belts, for instance, are known to be dangerous to humans. However can NASA produce the Geiger counter readings of the Van Allen belts? Then we can all know if we can get through them. Nasa says its classified. Not to mention that they "lost" the telemetry. Yeap, not very convincing. Oh, I used to work for BOEING so I know a bit about BLUEPRINTS (engineering drawings). There is no way, NASA could have lost BLUEPRINTS of "man's greatest technological achievement."

4 +1 MiTleiD 3 weeks ago

@PLUCK URANUS Close one! You almost had me there, because I was just about to write a long text explaining exactly why the astronauts easily made it through the Van Allen radiation belt and how they pulled it off. But then I remembered that people like you aren't actually interested in the truth.

If you ever change your mind, though, you'll find tons of videos by people who are way smarter than me who have tackled this topic and completely debunked every single claim made by moon landing deniers. For instance, just go to the YouTube channel Professor Dave Explains and search for 'moon'. You'll find long videos explaining in detail why moon landing denial is absolute nonsense.

0 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 2 weeks ago

@MiTleiD As I said, I'm familiar with both point of views, so no need to send me to YouTube. There is no need to debate our beliefs. Live and let live... GOD BLESS ROUGH ANAL!

2 +1 MiTleiD 2 weeks ago

@PLUCK URANUS And like I said, there aren't two points of view on this matter. There aren't two intellectually equal groups arguing about the truth.

On one hand, you have the actual scientists and engineers who know what they're doing, the kind of people who, besides building rockets that fly to the moon, built everything else we use in our daily lives.

On the other hand, you have the phonies and frauds who produce videos like this one, who have no clue what they're talking about, who would burst into tears if they had to solve the very first assignment of a first-semester physics class, and who just produce a scientific-sounding word salad that shows how clueless they are.

And then there are people like you, who, even when approaching this with good intentions, just can't tell the difference between the two groups.

Normally, I'd agree with you, live and let live. But we live in times where internet reach allows these scammers to convince many people like you, which leads to idiots winning elections and making it into our institutions, and that has negative consequences for the whole country.

That's why it can only be said over and over again: Stop being so damn gullible.

0 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 2 weeks ago

@MiTleiD "But we live in times where internet reach allows these scammers to convince many people like you, which leads to idiots winning elections and making it into our institutions, and that has negative consequences for the whole country." I'm an ATHEIST, I BELIEVE IN OBSERVABLE SCIENCE, and I think that the American voting system is corrupt, and TRUMP is the worst president ever. But you think I'm gullible. Good one. Vive la France!

0 +1 MiTleiD 2 weeks ago

@PLUCK URANUS If you fall for moon landing deniers, that's just the way it is, unfortunately. Moon landing denial and the flat earth theory are pretty much the most absurd conspiracy theories out there, and they can be debunked with basic school-level knowledge.

BTW, there's hardly anything as observable as the laws of physics, thanks to tons of experiments you can even do yourself.

But the fact that you don't fall for Trump proves there's still hope. Although it is pretty weird that you see right through Trump but still fall for moon landing deniers.

0 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 2 weeks ago

@MiTleiD Flat Earth Theory is NONESENSE.... Nice try (but cheap shot) comparing Flat Earth Theory to the moon landing deniers. Moon landing "deniers" do not reject empirical science. However, the "scientific proof" of NASA is not verifiable nor convincing. I rest my case! God bless rough anal!

1 +1 myhat 3 weeks ago

i don't care if they were fake.
why? because it doesn't matter.
quit telling me the moon landings were fake.. and start telling me why it matters that they were fake?
until you're ready to do that.. please.. just shut up.

4 +1 PlanetaryFungus 3 weeks ago

@myhat Why would it matter that the government lied to the public, and even faked moon landing footage to air on TV. Why would it matter that history and science is a lie. Hmmm, I wonder.

3 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 3 weeks ago

There is overwhelming physical evidence confirming that the moon landings were fake. If you were brought up in the USA, you were brainwashed by HISTORIANS to believe that the Apollo program was man's greatest achievement. But if you were brought up elsewhere? It's funny that American presidents keep promising a return to the moon, yet the technology does not exist as Americans have never gone back (except by satellite). Keep believing the fairytale.

Short burns of the thrusters are all thats needed in space, no wind resistance. once set in motion it goes until forces act upon it. The car can't coast very far but the spacecraft can coast 300,000 miles to the moon.

3 +1 MOUNTING URANUS 3 weeks ago

@tommix1 Oh yeah...show me the technology, the telemetry. We can't land today as we couldn't 50 years ago.

0 +1 MisterProgneto 3 weeks ago

@tommix1 NASA has finally admitted that the atmosphere extends beyond the moon so no, the spaceship does not continue in space without any forces acting on it. It would take dozens of fuel tanks to refuel a spaceship that was headed to the moon and back. You only believe all the junk you've been told. https://spacenews.com/earths-atmosphere-stretches-out-to-the-moon-and-beyond/

11 +1 Dixonaplanet 3 weeks ago

I'm going to write this veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly:

1. There was a Cold War going on in 1969 between America and the USSR;

2. Both countries were trying to be first to land on the Moon for propaganda purposes;

3. By 1969, it was possible to track objects travelling to and from, and orbiting, the Moon by radar because of the advances made in the technology to track ICBMs;

4. The Russians lost and so they would have been the first ones to call "Bullshit" if the Americans had not really made it.

It's called logic - you don't even have to go into all the technical details that prove it happened.

Oh, and the Ancient Greeks knew that the Earth was 'round', that the Moon was c.200,000 miles away and that the Sun was at the centre of the Solar System: (add https:// ) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristarchus_of_Samos.

1 +1 Bellybutton 3 weeks ago

@Dixonaplanet thank you!

1 +1 MisterProgneto 3 weeks ago

The Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation — the one that explains why the more fuel a spaceship carries, the more fuel it needs just to lift that fuel, causing an exponential spiral. This proves that a rocket cannot get to the moon and back on one load of fuel. It would take several rockets with fuel stationed at different locations to the moon and back for it to be possible. No one has ever been to the moon.

3 +1 APieceOFGarbage 3 weeks ago

@MisterProgneto

"No, the Tsiolkovsky rocket equation actually proves that spaceflight to the Moon is possible. While it shows that a rocket's mass must grow exponentially with required velocity, engineers overcome this "tyranny of the rocket equation" by using multi-stage rockets—like the Saturn V—which shed empty fuel tanks along the way to reach the Moon."
