With the newly released, OUTRAGEOUS police bodycam footage from the 2023 Virginia school shooting going viral, I wanted to share this courtroom testimony from Abby Zwerner, the first-grade teacher who was shot by her own student.

Just TWO DAYS before the shooting, Zwerner testified that the boy was defiant and slammed her phone onto the floor.

On the day of the shooting, she recalled watching him stare intensely at a school security officer, slowly get up from his seat, and approach her without breaking eye contact.

“That stuck out to me a lot.”

Zwerner testified that she reported her concerns to school administrator Dr. Parker.

That same day, the 6-year-old shot her through the hand and into her chest. Despite her injuries, she managed to get her students to safety.

The more you hear about what happened BEFORE this shooting, the more questions it raises about HOW it was allowed to happen.

We USED to keep kids like this in psychiatric campus' where they could get the education they needed by staff trained to deal with them :(
