The victim had stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. He was conscious but refused to cooperate with the responding officers. Less than two days after the incident, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of carrying out the attack. Police also found a psychotropic substance on him. The man had numerous previous convictions for various crimes, including property and drug-related offenses.

The suspect was remanded in custody for three months.

Investigators determined that the suspect's motive was financial settlements. The 44-year-old, who was brought to the prosecutor's office, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm, a charge that carries a penalty of three to 20 years in prison. The suspect will now spend the next 3 months in custody.
