‘I thought we were friends' Video shows arrest of Florida woman accused in DUI crash

Florida never disappoints and this Daytona Beach case is a perfect example of how one bad decision turns into absolute chaos in 10 seconds.
On August 30th, 24-year-old Elizabeth Boucher was caught on camera flying around a turn in her black Ford Bronco a $50k SUV and slamming straight into a parked Honda with so much force she pushed it off the driveway and onto someone's front lawn.
Home security caught it all. Grass, dirt everywhere.
But it gets worse after the crash.
According to police, Boucher got out smelling of alcohol, could barely stand, and allegedly got into a fight with the Honda owner smacked her right in the face. The owner hit back and knocked her to the ground.
When cops showed up, bodycam tells the whole story:
She hands them her PASSPORT when they ask for a license.
She says "I guess I hit the front light" officer says "You didn't just hit the front, you took the car completely off."
She begs: "Please don't take me to jail over this, it's just a vape."
She refuses the sobriety test "No exercises" and tries to just walk away.
And then the line everyone is sharing: handcuffed, confused, looking at the cops: "Why are you doing this? I thought we were all friends?"
She's now facing six charges DUI, DUI with property damage, refusal to submit to testing, battery (touching/striking), resisting an officer without violence, and possession of a controlled substance without prescription. She was released the next day and has a court date in October.
I have zero sympathy for the "I'm a mom, I thought we were friends" routine.
You drive drunk or high, you take out someone's car, you punch the owner, and then you think you can talk your way out because you're hot and crying? No.
This could have been a kid on that lawn. Could have been someone sitting in that Honda. In Florida we see this every single week someone's Bronco, Mustang, or rental becomes a weapon because they wanted to party first and think later.
The craziest part is she said she was "surprised" she was in a crash. That's what impairment does it makes you think $50k of damage is "just the front light."
