Forever more the 2026 Bristol Bass Pro Shops Night Race will be known as the tale of two Team Penske drivers—a victory celebrating Joey Logano and a pit road fighting Ryan Blaney.

An angry Blaney wasted little time in seeking out Carson Hocevar after the 500-lap race, and the fisticuffs erupted as soon as Blaney put his left hand on Hocevar's right shoulder. Hocevar responded with a right hook, grabbed Blaney's driver's suit at the neck, and connected with another right hook. Blaney fell to the ground and was pulled away by a crewman. Blaney then broke free, raced back to Hocevar and threw a left hook before several NASCAR officials separated them and Blaney was escorted away by a crew member.
