A 74-year-old man tragically died in São Paulo, Brazil, after being crushed by a concrete structure that suddenly collapsed from the facade of a building. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 14, at around 10:00 a.m., in the Guaianases neighborhood, in the eastern part of the city.

The tragic moment was recorded by a security camera. In the footage, the 74-year-old man is seen walking on the sidewalk in front of a closed store, while a woman is standing next to him.

Suddenly, a concrete balcony/canopy broke away from the building and collapsed on the man, who had no time to react. He was trapped under the rubble, while the woman next to him managed to escape at the last moment. She immediately called for help, and emergency services and firefighters arrived at the scene. The 74-year-old man was pulled from the rubble and rushed to the hospital.
Despite the efforts of doctors, the elderly man could not survive the serious injuries caused by the collapse and passed away. The incident is under investigation to determine the causes of the collapse of the concrete structure.
