Another day, another forced conscription in Ukraine that involves recruitment officers pepper-spraying women as they try to stop them

Ukraine isn't a dictatorship, those "meat grinder" assaults aren't even a thing anymore, it’s turned into a modern drone war. Even the disgusting Russians aren't running meat grinder attacks anymore. And of course Ukraine isn't losing, and its demise is nowhere in sight, that much can already be said.

Maybe you should also say something about the tons of videos published by Russians themselves, showing them torturing comrades in the most absurd ways just because they refused orders and didn't want to die.

@Jessica-nl Trump is barely sending anything to Ukraine. US aid has collapsed to almost zero. Trump is pro-Russian and frustrated that the Russians can't win the war, even though he's pulling all the strings to help them. Trump is obsessed with Putin and Kim, deep down, he worships authoritarian systems like dictatorships and communism, and he'd love to have that much power himself.

As long as Trump is in office, the chances of Ukraine getting enough to actually win are slim to none. Once Trump is out of the picture, that might change.

@NAKEDBUSHWOOKIE Anyone who thinks they can resist the state, given today's surveillance and data analysis capabilities, is dreaming. This can only be done at the ballot box, as long as there are free and fair elections. Once people are in power who no longer respect the constitution, the separation of powers, and the independence of institutions, it's over. Guns won't do you any good then.

@howwonderfool A state must demonstrate that the law applies to everyone. The defense of Ukraine against the disgusting Russians is also everyone's duty. It is completely unacceptable that draft dodgers shift the entire burden onto other families.

@MiTleiD You know where the said draft dodgers are? Several countries away already.. Some living the best of their lives.. And there are also politicians, oligarchs, the ones who are mainly responsible for the current situation (from the side of Ukraine).

I ask again, what use Ukraine can have from men not wanting to fight? Can't even give a weapon in their hands..

Imprisonment? You have to keep them, feed them.

Handing out fines? "Volodymyr, we managed to beg for another euro/dollar billions with interest high as the ISS, minus corruption; oh and draft dodgers paid 7 987 454 hryvnias, so roughly 180 thousand USD this month so far.

But the word is not about imprisonment or fines, but about forced conscriptions, followed by beatings and if not to death sending them off in short time to the frontlines. Ukraine is killing off the ones who could not bribe the authorities! People with health conditions, some not even reached the age, or having official exemptions, had been the subjects of these kidnappings too.

Ukraine should tune down it's big face, learn what it is capable of in reality, and start to negotiate fast, before it's too late. Of course warmongers won't like that, and naturally stupids will side with them for free. But the war will end with peace talks, after coming to the conclusion: your feelings won't matter, if Russia ever goes down, either that moment with dead man's hand doctrine, or if that fails within a decade by militant groups: one or many nuclear blasts will wipe out most of Europe and the US down from the map, alongside with Russia..

And Ukraine is not without stains itself, even if it is used as a patsy in this constructed war.

But back to the topic: First of all, the top military commander in Ukraine was just replaced due to pressure from the public and the military, and reforms are being pursued. One point in these reforms is the treatment of conscripts and conscription into military service. And of course, draft dodgers are put in prison, that is what the law currently states. 

As for the war as a whole, Ukraine is entirely in the right. There is rarely such a clear-cut case where it is obvious who bears sole responsibility, like in this imperialistic attack by the Russians against Ukraine. 

And regarding the course of the war, it is clear that due to the dishonorable way the Russians wage war and the many Russian war crimes, the Ukrainian civilian population has to endure immense suffering. Militarily, however, they are getting stronger and stronger and are constantly receiving new capabilities that currently allow them to take the war deep into Russia, which they couldn't do to this extent last year. Soon, the Ukrainians will also have ballistic missiles, giving them even more capabilities.

So, it is not the Ukrainians who need to "tone down their big face," but the Russians, who have utterly humiliated themselves in Ukraine. The Russians have refused to negotiate so far and are still demanding a kind of Ukrainian capitulation, which, given the realities on the battlefield, is totally delusional. It is the Russians who need to realize they have failed, will achieve nothing more, and must come to the negotiating table.
