Fiery DUI Crash in South Los Angeles

A violent crash early this morning near 52nd Street & Western Avenue ended with one vehicle in flames and another crashing into a nearby building.

A female driver traveling alone collided with a vehicle occupied by two males.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition. The male driver suffered severe injuries to his leg and wrist, along with other injuries.

A third person involved was transported with non-critical injuries.

Radio traffic referenced a possible DUI, with the female driver possibly suspected of driving under the influence

Those idiots should have left here there. They could have caused further damage. Anytime there is a suspected spinal injury you wait for a back board and prevent the person from moving. You want to stabilize the spin. If the patient has a chipped spin it could sever the tendons and cause permanent paralysis.
