ICE will be spending upwards of $20M for "Shock Gloves" to help de-escalate confrontations with illegal immigrants, according to the AP.

The "G.L.O.V.E." is manufactured by Compliant Technologies LLC, based in Kentucky.

"70% of officers killed with firearms are shot within 10 feet. The G.L.O.V.E. gives officers a non-lethal option at exactly that distance, bringing resisting subjects into compliance in seconds, without lasting harm to anyone involved," their website says.

Who wants these gloves on all day long, waiting for something to happen? Nobody.
They want to spend 20 million on this when we already have stun guns and tazers.

It seems like a good idea, a useful product. But

1. lethal accidents gonna occur, when 6 agents gonna grab at the same time the illegal, or the stupid cunt protester;
2. accidental usage, malfunction not gonna be fun;
3. it will indulge involuntarily muscle spasms making the subject kick around erratically - a weapon in his/her hands may go off;
4. will be used in a manner raising a valid question: Officer/Agent why did you use the glove on a) pregnant woman, b) elderly citizen, c) on youth especially who committed nothing illegal?;
5. this will be out for civilian use in no time.. plus TEMU copycats incoming..

@howwonderfool And a question: Officers gonna strip the subjects first, if by intention he/she already wears (protective clothing)? Or going for face would be an option, like a benediction? And face can be covered too. I foresee misuse and accidents..
