Artist and political activist Scott LoBaido took to social media Friday from his hospital bed with a health update — and a message for those who have suggested he hang up his bullhorn.

In a video posted at about 9 a.m. on Facebook, LoBaido, 61, said he was recovering from what officials confirmed was a cardiac arrest on Tuesday after he angrily confronted Mayor Zohran Mamdani during the National Night Out Against Crime event in Midland Beach.

He said he flatlined before being revived by first responders and subsequently underwent an operation. He thanked the individuals who saved his life.

Scott LoBaido (born April 6, 1965) is an American artist known for patriotic, US Flag, and political themed paintings and sculptures.
