American enters a bakery and looks at the available cakes, they all look pretty good

 

But then she looks behind the counter towards the back of the store…

 

Right on the back counter are the boxes for the cakes being sold. They are all just standard supermarket cakes

 

She’s upset because she assumed it would be homemade but of course, it’s just repackaged grocery store cakes 

 

We are seeing this so much more in America and it needs to stop. Unfortunately it’s legal as long as they don’t represent the cakes as being “made from scratch” or like phrasing

We have a company in my complex that delivers Nothing but Flash frozen deserts like lava Cakes, Tiramisu, Key Lime Pie , and that nice fresh oven baked bread and dinner rolls to high end restaurants. Don't ever bother to thank the pastry chef.

Ingredients cost too much when you consider how much of it generally gets left to sit and then binned. Thats why they taste like shit at most cafes now
