@dingus369 Immigration and how to manage it have always been a concern for presidents and governments. What has increased is the sheer number of people coming from the Global South. All societies are still arguing about how to deal with this and about ways to solve the problem. No one disputes that the problem needs to be solved. The only thing that needs to be debated is the approach.
