A 24-year-old man from Karnataka's sustained critical injuries after falling around 30 to 40 feet during a zipline ride at a private resort in Uttara Kannada district, with his family alleging negligence and safety lapses on the part of the resort.

The victim, identified as Kubera Surapura, suffered multiple fractures and severe nerve damage in the fall at the Sterling River Resort in Dandeli on July 3. He has undergone multiple surgeries and remains under treatment.
