It even worse when you consider your tax dollars fund the NIH where essentially ALL of the initial research is performed to discover new drugs before big pharma grabs up the patents. So Americans are funding the research on the front end , AND paying astronomical cost on the back end so the rest of the world can get the same drugs for penny’s on the dollar

The OTHER problem with the high prices in the USA has to do with LAWYERS and LAWSUITS.

Not only do American politicians not do anything about it, but they actively promote it because they’re among the biggest beneficiaries. Just look at all the boards of directors and executive suites where many politicians sit or have their fingers in the pie. And under the Trump administration, this has probably gotten even worse than before because the corruption is even more rampant. But the politicians in America—in the Senate and the House of Representatives—all have roots in a certain small country in the Middle Middle East, and at the same time have connections everywhere. I don’t think there’s a single member there who isn’t a millionaire, and I believe there are at least a dozen billionaires among them. Maybe even more. Yeah, America, you’re screwed. You’re fucked. You have a shitty system and are ruled by a horde of corrupt pigs.
