@Caspian_Monster for clarification i have never been divorced but some of my friends have, its usually one party or the other pushing for this kind of exchange. It is harder on the kids than it needs to be. Bringing your new beau along is never a good idea. Thats my observation, not experience.

@Comfortably_numb Arizona is ranked number six by square miles, but it doesn't seem that big. Man, the sunsets are insane here! Nothing like back in Maryland.

Los Angeles is about five hours away, Las Vegas is four hours, Albuquerque is seven hours, but that's if you live around Flagstaff, Phoenix, or Tucson.

A trip from Nogales on the border to Grand Canyon National Park is a six hour trip at highway speeds, and that's about 90% of the height of the state. North South border to border is 728km. 450 miles. Smaller than New Mexico but bigger than Nevada.

I think what AZ is more well known for is being mostly desert, the Grand Canyon and mild winters. The summers can be brutal of you aren't prepared for them.
