A lion attacked a cattle herder in Garjiya village of Palitana taluka in Bhavnagar district on the morning of July 6. A live video of the attack soon went viral, drawing widespread attention across the region.

The injured herder was rushed to Palitana Government Hospital for treatment, while the forest department has launched an investigation into the incident.
