If you freeze the video at 0:10 you can see it is a backwards facing swastika. That is a sacred symbol in some Buddhist traditions.

The right handed swatika was used by the Nazis, same as the Japanese' Prosperity symbol.
But even then, the Nazi one was tilted 45 degrees.

Her left hand one, as you point out, is of Buddhism, including mainly Janeism.

But, did you really think someone like him would have the brains to understand the culture of another's nation, even if he is visiting there???

Hitler himself actually designed the Nazi Flag with the swastika at 45 degrees in the white circle on the red background. Say what you like about him being a homicidal dictator, he clearly had design talent. If only the Jews had allowed him into the Viennese art school, history would have been very different.

Right faced is used for prosperity in Japanese Shintoism.
