«Everyone should know though, that cooked wheat products- Bread, Donuts, Cookies, etc are NOT good for Deer, Elk, Caribou, Moose, etc. as it is EXTREMELY hard on their digestive system and can cause sever gastro-intestinal problems. This includes dried corn unless it is given to them in very small doses at first, and then slowly increased.
Fresh , off the stalk, soft corn is fine. That is a natural food for them.

If you want to feed Deer or Elk, buy a green lettuce. Leaf lettuce, Romain, Endive, etc. Beans, and canned vegetables are also OK.

The best thing to do to help is to plant certain perennials. Such as Clover, Elderberries, Peas, Violets.
