A bull rider was hospitalized after he was thrown off the animal and stomped on at a rodeo in the Bronx on Sunday, police said.
The 25-year-old man was injured in the Rodeo Tierra Caliente competition on Bruner Avenue in Baychester at around 6:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.
Police said the rider was bucked off the animal and stomped on. Medics responded to the 911 call and transported the man to the hospital in stable condition. The nature of his injuries was unclear.
The bull was seen repeatedly trampling on the man and dragging him while others tried to corral the animal, according to video from the scene.
Police said the bull secured at the scene.
