American Flat Track racer from Pa. dies following on-track incident

AMA Pro Racing has announced that American Flat Track competitor Dan Bromley died this past weekend following an on-track incident. He was 30.

Bromley, a native of Warrington, Pa., was competing at Saturday’s Lima Half-Mile in Lima, Ohio when the incident occurred.

“AMA Pro Racing and the American Flat Track community extend our deepest condolences to Dan’s family, friends, teammates, fellow competitors, and all who knew him,” American Flat Track said in a statement.

Bromley won the 2018 AFT Singles championship and the 2025 AFT AdventureTrackers championship.

In April, Bromley was hired as the Assistant Track Racing Manager by the American Motorcycle Association. In the role, he was assisting the AMA in a number of disciplines, including flat track, road racing, speedway, ice racing and more.

Once I saw the helmet fly off, I knew it was all bad. I got crushed by a cart wheeling bike, while racing. The only thing that saved me was the helmet. RIP young man.
