@Comfortably_numb Sea levels do change, especially coastal sea levels.  As a long-time sailor and boater, I observe these variations month to month and year to year.  And Global sea level is rising at approximately 0.15 inch per year on average.  As an aviator, I also see the aeronautical data systems are updated regularly.  Airport elevation and runway data are published through the AIRAC cycle, which in some cases may reflect environmental changes such as sea level rise. The changes are extremely small, but they are updated to reflect the differences.

@Gutshot From rising sea level or sinking land?  There are areas where the land is actually sinking.  There are also huge differences between coastal sea level and global sea level.  The sea itself is rising overall but not evenly everywhere.  And coastal sea levels can vary significantly due to regional effects.  The western tropical Pacific has some of the largest sea level variations on Earth. Winds push water toward one side and then the gravity and the pressure try to flatten back toward equilibrium.  Other factors like ocean currents and temperature patterns also contribute to these fluctuations.
