FLINT, Mich. - A viral video showing gunshots being fired at a gathering outside a Flint gas station over the weekend has caught the attention of police.

Sergeant Paul Spann with the Flint Police Department said the gunshots were fired during an unauthorized gathering at a gas station on the corner of Saginaw and Carpenter Road.

Spann said their department is still searching for answers about the violence over the weekend, and is working on short and long-term solutions to curb violence in the community.

The shooting happened on Sunday, just after 3 a.m.

Officers with the Flint police department responded to a call for service at a local hospital and spoke with an adult male who was the victim of a gunshot wound.

Spann said the victim confirmed that the shooting occurred at an intersection not far from the gas station seen in the viral video.

The victim was listed in good condition and had no further information, according to Span.

Gas stations are all they have left. It's like the water cooler at work. Eventually you'll run into each other there.

But anyway, I call BS. There are no cars less than 25 years old in Flint - unless they're going 75mph on a freeway through it.
