Please understand a puncher in boxing is different to a puncher in MMA! I have nothing but admiration for NGannou and believe me he’d do the same to any boxer in a cage! BUT he’s not in a cage he’s in a boxing ring and that’s the difference.

«When you're dealing with men that can hit that hard the fight can go either way. Everyone is so fickle that one lose and somehow it deminishes the reputation of a fighters abilities in the eyes of the fans. No fighter is invisible no matter what record they have. There's someone with the ability to land the finishing strike. Sometimes you just get caught.»

«The only reason punching is different in MMA, is that you have different movement, distance and stance for takedown and kick defense. Ngannou would've knocked Joshua loopy too, if he'd made a good connection. Instead he just stood there with a menacing look on his face, like he expected Joshua to just fall over out of fear.»
