The video shows strikes producing smoke at the site, but reports confirm Israeli forces captured and seized the castle on May 31, 2026, during operations against Hezbollah. It was not razed.

 

The castle is a 12th-century Crusader fortress. Construction began around 1139 under King Fulk of Jerusalem; it later passed to the Knights Templar.

 

It served as a strategic point in Israel's 1982-2000 presence in southern Lebanon. The "enemy to Christianity" assertion is opinion, not fact.
