@Theocritus It's not healthy. For them or for us. White bread has little nutritional value. Also, feeding them can cause many different issues when they start living in your attic or in the crawlspace under your house. It gets pretty disgusting. Also also, they can be be vectors of diseases, so you don't want them comfortable being around people.

Do you really want an infestation of squirrels in your neighborhood? Squirrels that expect you to feed them?

Squirrells are cute until they get into you car and eat the wiring, into you attic and start setting up a condo. They are rats with fluffy tails.

@sirmrmikey I live in a desert, so I don't have squirrels. What I do have is rabbits. Lots of rabbits. I also have a senile neighbor that spends eighty bucks a month on veggies to feed them, so their population was starting to get out of control before I took care of them. They were eating everybody's landscaping flowers. I lost $1000 worth of succulents and cacti, and they ate half a dozen healthy sunflower plants. The whole plant. One day I came outside and they were gone, just a gnawed stump sticking out of the ground.

I do know that the rabbits burrow under foundations, destroy much of the landscape plants, and also get into people's cars and wreak havoc.

@JobyFluorine Leave her alone. She's tryna attract squirrels to claim they ate the wires on her leased Escalade that's 55,000 miles over the 30,000 allowed and collect an insurance payout to cover the penalty and the blunt burns and Franks Hot Sauce stains in the Nappa perforated leather seats.
