Abour 10 years ago now, 3.45 am. I was late for work. Heading down an off ramp from the motorway heading towards a roundabout at the bottom. Doing 60 in a 40 zone. As I approached the roundabout, there was a brick wall shielding my full view of the roundabout. I went for it, still doing 60. Jumped on the roundabout taking the racing line. I immediately saw the police car parked under the underpass waiting...... blue lights immediately came on, he pulled me over further up the road.. After asking me why I was speeding? These were his exact words. "I can see you're a good driver Sir, just take the speed down a bit please? You never know when the police might be waiting for you..... now you get going sir, I won't make you any later for work" then he laughed and walked back to his car.
Yep, just stopped me to tell me I was a good driver ![]()
Sometimes our police are ok here you know. lol
‘Leg is killing me’: St. Augustine man clocked at 105 mph on I-95

A St. Augustine man was arrested Sunday after deputies say he broke Florida’s “super speeder” law.
Rafael Lopez, 62, was clocked driving 105 mph on Interstate 95 southbound near mile marker 283, which is just south of the Bunnell/Flagler Beach exit.
A person can be found to have committed dangerous excessive speeding under Florida’s “super speeder” law if they are driving:
In excess of the speed limit by 50 mph or more.
Driving at 100 mph or more in a manner that threatens the safety of other persons or property or interferes with the operation of any vehicle.
Lopez is seen on a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy’s body-worn camera saying, “My leg is killing me” and that his leg is “locked” so he was rushing to get to a rest area.
“I didn’t want to stop over here like that,” Lopez said, talking about pulling over on the side of the road.
