The wife of the elderly "Trump House" owner who was attacked in California says her husband is not expected to survive.

Maria Sheron says there is "no hope" for her husband, Kerry, who was brutally beaten outside his home.

Sheron, a 69-year-old Army veteran, is known in the Escondido area for all the Trump and USA flags he has at his home.

His wife, Maria, says she believes he was targeted for the displays, according to the California Post.

32-year-old man Thomas Caleb Butle was arrested for the horrific attack and is charged with attempted murder.
