I was skimmed once. I was trying to buy gas at a station that I never use. It was one in Northeast Baltimore County. The card wasn't working so I went to another station. I pay at the pump so I do NOT have to talk to people. The next day my credit card company called me because they denied a gas purchase in Atlanta.

Side note: Never use a debit card for purchases, especially Chase. There is little to no protection against fraud.
