@Mr.Triggerhappy The barrel for my H-bar was $400, but I built a pencil barrel carbine that weighed 4-5-ish pounds for around $700.
The parts are cheap. They are readily available. It's a platform that's customizable to any task, they are easy to build, easy to maintain, accurate and fun to shoot.
It's no wonder they are so popular.
