This happened in Vietnam. The kid in the back is the only one that died and it was his grandpa driving.

Train was doing what? about 45mph (or about 70kph)?

Going from 0 to 45mph in 1/100 of a second will turn half of your internal organs to mush.

There is almost no way that kid survived.

He could have easily lived through that! He didn't come apart at the seams. They don't have working doors on those 1/4 chinese cabs, so the cab probably disintigrated before he ever got flung out of his seat (which probably stayed glued) Not much worse than speeding down a hill while skiing and then crossing one ski over the other. You go airborne.
